We are pleased to share our latest art exhibitions, taking place on the second floor of the downtown library. We have two new installations in celebration of Black History Month that will be on display until March 2nd.

In the gallery spaces, we have wonderful pieces by Hayward Arts Council members:

On display is "Stitching Russell City Stories: Quilts by the late Marion Coleman". These story quilts are part of a series created by Castro Valley textile artist Marion Coleman focusing on the community of Russell City. They are part of the Hayward Area Historical Society's permanent collection and are on loan for the exhibition.
