On May 25, 2023, Redwood Christian High School graduated fifty-eight seniors at Redwood Chapel Community Church.  Dr. Al Hearne II, Superintendent, and Principal Justin Redemer read the individual accomplishments of each graduate as well as their hopes and dreams while Board Chair Harry Bruno and Members Brian Beck and Phil Carlton presented the diplomas.

The Commencement Speakers were the three Valedictorians: Nathanael Butler, Abigail Hague and Nolan Quiroz sharing the message of their Class Verse I Peter 5:5-7.  The Star-Spangled Banner was performed by All-State Honor Jazz Band First Trumpet Jacob Cook.  Senior Class President Julia Bilbao greeted everyone with the Invocation and Welcome, and Student Council President Hannah John, who will be attending the Air Force Academy in the fall, closed the evening in prayer.  Mrs. Rachel Chow directed the RCHS Band in “Pomp and Circumstance” and the Recessional, in addition to the Concert Choir in “In My Life,” and II Corinthians 13:11 was read by Victoria Hopken, Senior Class Vice President.

Eight Graduates have been Continuous Students since Kindergarten: Nathanael Ray Butler, Lilia Jean Enos, Abigail Marie Hague, Vienna Karina Hendren, Hannah Mei John, Theophilus Yee Lok Lau, Julianna Grace Loux, Ethan Clark Neal, Andrew Scott Niiya, Bryan Thomas Niiya, Nolan Patrick Quiroz, Jonathan Dominic Rinaldi, and Michael Ephraim Woods. Eight graduates were the children of Redwood Christian High School Alumni: Karina Rose Davis (Denise Betzer, 1982), Caleb Benjamin Francis (Lisa Hubbard-Francis, 1994), Vienna Karina Hendren (Jason Hendren, 1994), Grace Elizabeth Junginger (Eric Junginger, 1993), Bethany Grace Kientzler (Sandra Olsson-Kientzler, 1991); Ashlyn Grace Miller (Pastor Jeff Miller, 1990), Reese Edward Tilly (Charmaine Wilcox, 1992), and Michael Ephraim Woods (Steve Woods, 1979).

Superintendent Hearne stated: “I am excited for the impact these graduates will have on the world as they embark on the next stage of their lives.  This class is made up of graduates who have personal goals that will stretch them.  I am confident that the support from their parents and family combined with their individual gifts and talents plus their “no quit” attitudes will serve them well in the future.  They have met every challenge with the commitment necessary and are now ready academically and spiritually for their next challenge.  The entire Redwood Christian Schools community is very proud of each one of them for whom they are now, and excited for their future wherever their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ leads them.”
