CV Greek Festival Celebrates 50 Years

Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church once again transformed itself into a mini-Greece for its 50th Anniversary Castro Valley Greek Festival. Hundreds of people came to the three-day event (August 19-21) to enjoy live music, artisanal crafts, and of course the best Greek food outside of Athens. Celebrating more than 50 years in the East Bay, the Resurrection parish consists of more than 200 families. Parish leaders point out that the community is unique because of its multi-ethnic background and small size.
