New exhibit at Aitken Community Center

Two retired CVUSD teachers, Pat Anderson and Janet Steidel, display paintings that will be on exhibit at the Kenneth Atiken Community Center.

Spring brings new life to gardens, and  a new exhibit at Kenneth Aitken Community Center will bring garden plants to the Senior Center walls.

Mary Harden’s Botanical Art class is exhibiting 21 watercolor paintings of local plants from Tuesday, May 3 to Tuesday, July 5.  The exhibit will be open to the public every weekday from 9 to noon.

Artists are local residents, many retired teachers.  Exhibitors include: Pat Anderson, Mary Cooper, Beverly Dahlstedt, Pat Doyne, Mary Harden, Kate Hardwig, Nancy Jacobson, Dilip Nandwana, Gayla Peek, Sandy Spiker, and Janet Steidel.  Please come and see what your favorite teacher has been up to since her retirement.

Kenneth Aitken Community Center is located at 178 Redwood Road, next to Proctor School.
