Edward Renk Turns 103

The Baywood Court Retirement Community threw a surprise party for Edward Renk at his exercise class on December 6, and he couldn’t wait to phone his family about the balloons, cupcake, and singing making him feel like a kid again.

His daughter Peggy Towers responded to staff with a short note: “A year ago Dad was living alone in his big house, physically and emotionally overwhelmed by his needs.  He knew a lifestyle change was necessary, but could not define nor decide what that change should be.  Now Dad is absolutely thriving at Baywood Court.  He is safe and responsibility-free in his snug little studio apartment, enjoying his frequent staff visits.  We are so grateful for the nurturing care he is receiving.”
