Daniel G. Cervantez is a native from Castro Valley. While in Canyon Middle School, 8th grade, Daniel joined the Sea Cadets with the Hancock Squadron in Hayward, CA.  In 2014 he was awarded Sea Cadet of the Year.  Danny aged out of the Sea Cadets with the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class. Daniel attended Castro Valley High School and graduated in 2015. Daniel attended CSU Maritime Academy and graduated in 2019 with a BA in Global Studies and Maritime Affairs. In May 2021 Daniel enlisted in the US Navy. He attended Boot Camp in Great Lakes, Illinois and graduated in July 2021.  Daniel graduated Boot Camp as a Seaman E-3.  He immediately left for C School to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from C School as a Master of Arms in December 2021. Daniel immediately reported to his first duty station in Norfolk, Virginia.  He is on the fast track and promoted to Petty Officer, 3rd Class (E-4) in March 2022. We congratulate Daniel in his commitment, dedication, and all his accomplishments. There is no greater honor than to serve your country.
