Marching for Queer Youth

About 30 students from Castro Valley High School and their supporters marched from the campus to the intersection of Redwood Road and Castro Valley Boulevard (also known as the Peace Corner) to show support and solidarity for queer and transgender youth across the country. The "March for Queer and Trans Youth Autonomy" on March 30 was one of the hundreds organized nationwide. Speakers expressed their anger at those who promote violence and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community and called for open discussions for better understanding. The march garnered a lot of support through verbal responses and honks from passing cars.
