On Tuesday, March 12, Dan Willits, president of the Rotary Club of Castro Valley, presented the Proctor PTA with a check to recognize its food distribution program.

Since the pandemic, they have passed out food to people who need it every Tuesday after school. The food is donated by area food banks, but the work is done by members of the Proctor PTA and volunteers from the community and Castro Valley schools. Robin Hanlon and Rebecca Sayami co-chair the food distribution.

“For volunteers to sustain this amazing program for this long is incredible,” said Willits. “We are honored to recognize Proctor PTA’s service to our community.”
