On Thursday, December 5, thirty-five Redwood Christian High School students dedicated their lunch hour to wrapping packages for the Rotary Club of Castro Valley Children’s Christmas Party, which took place yesterday, for children from Ruby’s Place and FESCO (Banyon House and Les Marquis House).

The packages were collected by the California Highway Patrol and selected to match the children who will be attending.  The students wrapped the packages and labeled them.  Dr. Evan Barnhart, Director of RCS Global, coordinated the event and Castro Valley Rotarian Ceta was present to set up and assist the students. RCHS students will also attend the Children’s Christmas Party for face-painting, balloon animals, coloring and simply to be friends.

The party brought together many community organizations and schools including Rotary Club of Castro Valley, California Highway Patrol, Alameda County Fire Department, Castro Valley Unified School District, Redwood Christian Schools, Castro Valley Sanitary District, Robert Hoffman of “Club Anywhere” as well as members from the community.  Castro Valley Rotarian Mark Poniatowski chairs the party each year.
