Drug Paraphernalia

Sunday, April 30: Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 49-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia. The man was hanging out on Castro Valley Boulevard near Wisteria Street when deputies stopped him for questioning and discovered his stash. The man was taken into custody.


Woman Wanted for Stolen Property

Thursday, April 28: at 8:13 p.m., a 35-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for her capture. Deputies stopped the woman outside a business on the corner of Redwood Road and Grove Way when they made the positive identification on the warrant. She had been previously charged with possession of stolen property. The woman was also found to have illegal drug paraphernalia in her possession. Deputies took her to Santa Rita Jail.

Resisted Arrest

Tuesday, April 26: at 2:14 p.m., deputies arrested a 56-year-old man on suspicion of obstructing a business, resisting arrest, and assaulting a deputy during an arrest. The man was loitering outside a church on Grove Way near Redwood Road when a site manager noticed he was harassing visitors. Deputies were called to the scene to intervene. The man became confrontational and put up a fight. Deputies took the man into custody.


Deputies Served Warrant

Tuesday, April 26: at 5:26 p.m., a 57-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his capture. Deputies stopped the man for questioning outside a business on Castro Valley Boulevard and Marshall Street. The man had been previously convicted of obstructing a business but was in violation of his parole. Deputies took the man to Santa Rita Jail.


Credit Card Scam at Doctor’s Office

Monday, April 25: at 10:09 a.m., deputies arrested a 25-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of trying to pay with a stolen credit card. The woman had been visiting a doctor’s office on Lake Chabot Road near Somerset Avenue and attempted to pay with the bad card. Deputies were called to the scene after the receptionist was alerted that the card was stolen. The woman was taken into custody.
