Fighting at the Hospital
Monday, December 16: At 2:53 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 57-year-old Castro Valley man on suspicion of assault and battery. The man was at Eden Medical Center on Lake Chabot Road when he got into an altercation with another person. Deputies took the man into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
Parolee Busted for Drug Pipe
Saturday, December 14: At 9:12 a.m., a 28-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal drug paraphernalia. Deputies stopped the man for questioning and discovered his stash outside a laundry on Redwood Road near Grove Way. The man was also charged with violating his parole and taken into custody.
Charged with Elder Abuse
Friday, December 13: At 3:10 p.m., deputies arrested a 50-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of elder abuse. The man was at a home on Catalina Court near Catalina Drive when deputies responded to reports of a senior in a situation that might cause bodily harm at the house. Deputies took the man into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
Two Arrested for Fighting at Eden
Wednesday, December 11: At 8:16 p.m., two men were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon at Eden Medical Center on Lake Chabot Road. Deputies were called in to intervene when the men escalated their verbal argument into physical contact. A 54-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were charged with the assaults. The younger man was also found to have a warrant issued for his arrest related to charges of breaking and entering and possessing burglar tools. Both men were taken into custody.
Convict Charged with Illegal Firearm Possession
Tuesday, December 10: At 10:53 p.m., a 9-1-1 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to a home on Joseph Drive near Lamson Road. There, they arrested a 50-year-old Castro Valley man with a previous felony conviction on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, threatening with a deadly weapon, and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail. The victim was treated at the scene.
