Wearing a Necklace with Methamphetamine Drugs

Friday, February 10: at 3:19 a.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 68-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine drugs and refusing to leave a business even after the manager asked him to do so. When deputies arrived following a complaint by the manager, the man was hanging outside a restaurant on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. Deputies report that the man had a necklace with a tube containing the illegal drug inside. The man was taken into custody.

 

Under the Influence While Tagging the Skate Park

Thursday, February 9: at 5:24 p.m., a 31-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested for public intoxication at the skate park at Adobe Park on San Miguel Avenue. Deputies stopped the man for questioning as he was vandalizing the equipment with paint. The man showed signs of intoxication and failed his field sobriety test. Deputies took the man to a sobering center.

 

Argument with Client Ends in Arrest

Thursday, February 9: at 4:00 p.m., deputies arrested a 44-year-old woman with no permanent residence on suspicion of possessing illegal narcotics. When deputies arrived, the woman was verbally arguing with a client at a business on Baker Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. During questioning, the woman exclaimed that she had used methamphetamine drugs. Deputies found drugs in her pockets and took the woman to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Showed Signs of Drug Use

Thursday, February 9: at 2:48 p.m., a 40-year-old man from San Francisco was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine drugs. Deputies were parked in the lot of a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard when the man approached them and asked some questions. Deputies report that the man showed signs of being under the influence of drugs. The man revealed he had the drugs in his pocket and was taken into custody.

 

Burglar Tools and Live Ammunition

Thursday, February 9: at 2:44 p.m., deputies arrested a 28-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of possessing illegal burglar tools and live ammunition. The man was hanging outside a grocery store on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road when deputies stopped him for questioning. The man consented to a search. Deputies reported the man was a convicted felon and took him to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Shoplifter Also Violated Restraining Order

Wednesday, February 8: at 6:32 p.m., a 54-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of violating a restraining order at a church on Grove Way near Redwood Road. Deputies responded to a call about a shoplifter at the nearby Trader Joe's who then walked over to the church, which he had been "emphatically" ordered to stay away from. The store manager declined to press charges, but deputies took the man into custody for contempt of court.

 

Sleeping in the Bushes Too Close to a Business

Wednesday, February 8: at 11:25 a.m., deputies arrested a 51-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order. The man was found sleeping in the bushes within 30 feet of a grocery store on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road that he had been ordered to stay away from. Deputies took the man into custody.

 

Possession of Stolen Property and Drugs

Monday, February 6: at 11:37 a.m., a 36-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, methamphetamine drugs, and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies responded to a report of a man exposing himself behind a restaurant on Castro Valley Boulevard near Wilbeam Avenue. Deputies found the man fully clothed but in violation of his probation. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
