Possession of Stolen Property

Saturday, January 7: at 8:02 a.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 43-year-old man with no permanent residence as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man had been previously convicted of possession of stolen property. Deputies served the warrant outside a home on A Street near Ruby Street in Castro Valley. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Joy Ride Ends in Arrest

Saturday, January 7: at 9:29 p.m., a 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing and driving a stolen vehicle. Deputies ran the license plates and stopped the man at a gas station on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.

 

Suspended License

Friday, January 6: at 1:08 p.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 53-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of driving with an expired driver's license and possession of methamphetamine drugs. The man was traveling on Castro Valley Boulevard near Forest Avenue when deputies stopped him for a moving violation. The man was taken into custody.

 

Bad Driving Record

Friday, January 6: at 1:47 p.m., a 23-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his arrest. Deputies report the man had three outstanding warrants for driving with an expired driver's license. The man was traveling on Grove Way near Center Street when deputies stopped him for questioning and served the warrants. Deputies then took the man to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Shoplifter Caught

Friday, January 6: at 10:20 a.m., deputies arrested a 29-year-old woman with no permanent residence on suspicion of petty theft. The woman was spotted leaving a grocery store with unpaid merchandise on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard when the store manager called for help. Deputies stopped her and took her into custody.

 

In Contempt of Court

Thursday, January 5: at 6:38 p.m., a 51-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for her capture. Deputies report that the woman had two outstanding warrants for a failure to appear in court. The woman was traveling on Castro Valley Boulevard near Wisteria Street when deputies stopped her for questioning and served the warrants. Deputies took her to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Trespassing Behind a Business

Wednesday, January 4: at 9:01 a.m., deputies arrested a 41-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of trespassing. The man had hopped a fence and was sleeping behind a business on Grove Way near Redwood Road when the manager spotted him and called deputies. The man was taken into custody.

 

Violated a Restraining Order

Wednesday, January 4: at 11:26 a.m., a 24-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order, possessing illegal drug paraphernalia, and violating the terms of his parole. Deputies caught up with the man outside a home on Crow Canyon Road near Cull Canyon Road, which was 100 feet from an area the man was restricted. The man was taken into custody.

 

Busted for Fentanyl  

Tuesday, January 3: at 10:49 a.m., deputies arrested a 30-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of possession of fentanyl drugs and related drug paraphernalia. The man was traveling by Castro Valley High School on Santa Maria Avenue when deputies stopped him for questioning and discovered his stash. Deputies took the man into custody.
