Spousal Assault

Sunday, July 24: at 3:40 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 40-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of spousal assault. The man was at a home on McLoud Avenue near Almeda Street when deputies arrived. The man was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

Methamphetamine Drugs

Sunday, July 24: at 9:59 a.m., a 48-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine drugs. Deputies stopped the man for questioning at the intersection of Stanton Avenue and Castro Valley Boulevard. The man was taken into custody.

Wanted Man Served

Saturday, July 23: at 2:17 p.m., deputies arrested a 42-year-old man from Castro Valley as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man had previously been convicted of possession of stolen property, possession of someone else's identification, breaking and entering a property, and possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies served the warrant in front of a storage business on Castro Valley Boulevard near Marshall Street. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

Busted for Drugs

Friday, July 22: at 12:15 p.m., a 36-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies stopped the man for questioning outside a hotel on Castro Valley Boulevard near Strobridge Avenue when they discovered his stash. The man was taken into custody.

Family Fight

Friday, July 22: at 6:33 p.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to a home on Josh Place near Somerset Avenue. There, they arrested a 50-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of spousal assault. Deputies took the man into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

Illegal Narcotics

Friday, July 22: at 11:03 p.m., a 32-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies caught up with the man outside a home on Lake Chabot Road near Brookdale Boulevard. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.

Contempt of Court Order

Tuesday, July 19: at 2:41 p.m., deputies arrested a 25-year-old woman on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order. The woman was spotted within 100 feet of an apartment on Center Street near Grove Way that she was instructed to stay away from. Deputies took the woman into custody.
