Breaking and Entering
Sunday, August 1: at 12:02 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 31-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of breaking and entering a business on Redwood Road near Norbridge Avenue. The man was stopped for questioning after a silent alarm sent deputies to the scene. Deputies took the man into custody.
Wanted Man
Saturday, July 31: at 4:00 p.m., a 30-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his capture. Deputies stopped the man for questioning outside a drug store on Castro Valley Boulevard near Yeandle Avenue. The man was previously wanted for assault on a family member, possession of illegal narcotics, and possession of a controlled substance. Deputies took the man to Santa Rita Jail.
Assault With a Deadly Weapon
Friday, July 30: at 6:29 p.m., deputies arrested a 53-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon outside a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. Store security called deputies to intervene after they got reports the man was in an altercation in the parking lot. The man was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
Resisted Arrest
Tuesday, July 27: at 3:30 p.m., a 26-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics and resisting arrest. Deputies stopped the man for questioning outside a bank on Castro Valley Boulevard near Santa Maria Avenue. During questioning, the man became confrontational. Deputies found the drugs in his pocket and took the man into custody.
Two Busted for Drugs and Fireworks
Tuesday, July 27: at 8:34 p.m., deputies pulled over and arrested two people from Castro Valley related to possession of methamphetamine drugs, and fireworks in the parking lot of the 580 Market Place shopping center on East Castro Valley Boulevard. The driver, a 35-year-old man was additionally charged with driving under the influence of drugs. The passenger, a 33-year-old woman was found with the fireworks and illegal drug paraphernalia. Deputies took the pair into custody.
Failed to Register as a Transient
Monday, July 26: at 10:24 a.m., a 67-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of failing to register as a transient, possession of illegal narcotics, and illegal drug paraphernalia. Deputies stopped the man for questioning outside a church on Grove Way near Redwood Road where they discovered his stash. The man was taken into custody.
Illegal Drug Paraphernalia
Monday, July 26: at 10:11 p.m., deputies arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia. The man was traveling on Castro Valley Boulevard near Center Street when deputies stopped him for questioning and discovered his stash. Deputies took the man into custody.
