Illegal Gun Possession
Sunday, November 28: at 12:33 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 51-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of illegal possession of firearms. The man was at an apartment on Wisteria Street near Somerset Avenue when deputies approached him for questioning. The man’s prior criminal record prevented him from possessing a firearm. Deputies took the man into custody.
In Contempt of Court Order
Sunday, November 28: at 2:19 p.m., a 37-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order. Deputies responded to a call about a suspicious person outside a home on Somerset Avenue near San Miguel Avenue. The woman, who fit the description, was inside a required 100-foot radius of the property and was taken into custody.
Teenagers’ Joy Ride Ends in Arrest
Sunday, November 28: at 9:20 p.m., deputies pulled over and arrested two 18-year-old teenagers related to driving a stolen vehicle. The male driver was charged with driving a stolen vehicle, possession of the stolen property, possession of illegal burglar tools, and driving without a valid driver’s license. The female passenger was charged with providing deputies with false identification. Deputies spotted the car driving on Castro Valley Boulevard near Marshall Street when they positively identified the vehicle as being stolen. The teens were taken into custody.
Public Intoxication
Sunday, November 28: at 1:15 a.m., a 25-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Deputies spotted the man in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on Grove Way near Center Street. The man failed his field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
Carrying a Loaded, Concealed Weapon
Sunday, November 28: at 2:55 a.m., deputies arrested a 33-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of illegally carrying a loaded concealed weapon without a license. The man was outside an apartment on Wisteria Street near Somerset Avenue when deputies stopped him for questioning. Deputies discovered the weapon during the conversation and took him into custody.
Drunk and Disorderly
Saturday, November 27: at 11:00 p.m., a 33-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting arrest. Deputies spotted the man outside a fast-food restaurant on Castro Valley Boulevard near Wilbeam Avenue. The man failed his field sobriety test and became confrontational during the conversation. Deputies took the man to a sobering center.
Assault and Battery
Thursday, November 25: at 7:55 a.m., deputies arrested a 33-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of assault and battery. The man was stopped outside a storage facility on Grove Way near Idena Avenue following reports of an altercation at the site. Deputies handcuffed the man and took him into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
Indecent Exposure
Tuesday, November 23: at 1:10 p.m., a 53-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested for indecent exposure in the parking lot of a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. Deputies were dispatched to the scene following complaints to the store manager. The man was taken into custody.
Spousal Assault
Tuesday, November 23: at 1:32 a.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to an apartment on Center Street near Grove Way. There, they arrested a 39-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of spousal assault and battery. The woman was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
