Case for Cityhood?
It was pretty apparent at the MAC meeting presentation of the RHNA housing plan that residents of Castro Valley don’t like being dictated to by Alameda County or California. It makes me believe that CV residents should be a lot more receptive to cityhood and the idea of self-determination. Maybe if we were in control of our own permitting processes we would have better control of what gets permitted and what does not. We may not be able to completely stop RHNA but I would think we could shape the outcome.
