Parody at its Best

Dear Editor,

I love your political satire column! Putting it in Letters to the Editor is a nice touch. Casual readers may dismiss it as an angry, retired crank with nothing better to do. But the more dedicated among us piece it together: this is Old Man Yells At Cloud in weekly syndication.

Being a fan, I’ve got some ideas to keep your parody fresh. Let’s get some backstory for our self-imagined hero: why do each of his adult children no longer speak to him? How many times has he been informed he is “no longer welcome at this establishment?” And years after gay marriage was legalized, how did he single-handedly crush the tidal wave of polygamy in our great nation?

But above all else, thanks for your tireless work. I look forward to the next rant!
