Lake Chabot Road Quarry

Did you know that EBMUD has applied for a conditional use permit to fill in the old quarry on Lake Chabot Road with soil excavated from pipeline repair?

That wouldn’t seem like a bad idea if they didn’t plan to take 40-80 years to do it, running 60-100 dump trucks a day along Estudillo and Fairmont as well as Lake Chabot Road.

I’m not making this up: I got it directly from the EBMUD web site (https://www.ebmud.com/about-us/construction-and-maintenance/construction-my-neighborhood/quarry-site-restoration-project).
