Thank You, Wiggle Rumps

Thank you! It was a beautiful sunny day last week as I was sitting in my office listening to my dogs bark. I thought to myself they’re barking by the fence at the neighbor’s dog, something that goes on daily. However, the barking continued and I thought I better check it out. As I climbed up the hill in my backyard, I could see the dogs barking at something on the ground. As I got closer, I could see a skunk spraying both of my dogs, one got it in the face. I proceeded climbing the hill trying to get the dogs’ attention, of course they would not listen to me. One of the dogs chased the skunk all the way up the hill and into the neighbor’s yard. I was finally able to get both dogs down into my lower yard and assessed the damage. The smell was not wonderful and poor Ginger’s eyes were watering.

What to do??? I’d heard of using a bath full of tomato juice, which didn’t sound like something I wanted to do. The thought hit me to call Misti Short the owner of Classy Canine’s Wiggle Rumps dog salon in Castro Valley where I take the dogs for baths and trimming. Misti thought a minute and said we’re actually closed on Mondays so she wouldn’t be able to see them until the next day. As we were talking she said you know we just started our mobile grooming van, she said she would be at my home within an hour. Sure enough both she and her husband Brian showed up and DE skunked the dogs. I can’t begin to thank her enough for the quick and outstanding service. She really did me a great favor and got me through what could have had a completely different ending. I truly recommend the services of Classy Canine’s Wiggle Rumps.
