Transgender Laws Violate Gender Equality

On October 9, 2011, California Assembly Bill 887 was approved by the Governor (leginfo.legislature.ca.gov), and the core purpose of the Bill was to memorialize a blatant lie into 2 key areas of state statute (Civil Code 51(e)(5), and Government Code 12926(r)(2)). The lie would then serve as the foundation to entrench transgender “rights” into other areas of statute. Here’s the lie: Sex and gender identity (or gender expression) mean the same thing and hold the same legal status. FALSE.  The biological sexes of male and female, are collectively defined as gender, they are immutable and protected under federal law. Gender Identity is a euphemism for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). Sex is gender and gender identity is a disorder.

The lie was intentional and meant to conflate Gender Equality; the equal application AND PROTECTION of freedoms and civil liberties to both sexes, with Gender Equity; a political tool of appropriation used by transgenders (males) to gain access to women’s entitlements. Gender equality and gender equity can never coexist because the former is violated by the latter. Our half-wit lawmakers gave biological males, battling a behavioral disorder, the legal right to abridge the freedoms and civil liberties afforded to women. There is no legislation more offensive, or discriminatory towards women than transgender legislation—a phenomenal abuse of legislative power. Outside of criminal law, it is NOT the role of state lawmakers to micro-legislate public behavior.

Now, the public is dealing with the consequence: Public endangerment (males accessing women’s facilities), sex discrimination (male abridgment of women’s freedoms and civil liberties), state-sanctioned cheating (trans-athletes), child disfigurement (trans-surgery) and businesses choked by meaningless, asinine laws governing trans-etiquette.

It’s NOT discrimination to expect everyone to use communal public facilities based on biological sex because it protects the Safety, Health and Welfare of the public. If males are assaulted, for any reason, they need to file a police report and undergo a rape-kit test, which is EXACTLY what women have to do—report the assault.

Transgender laws violate the basis of gender equality and need to be REMOVED.
