Creekside Defeats Canyon in Battle of the Valley
For the first time in eight years, Creekside Middle School Wildcats won its Battle of the Valley in Flag Football over crosstown rival Canyon Middle School Condors by 18-0. The two middle schools met at Trojan Stadium last Friday for their annual contest. Creekside's points were from two touchdown runs by JoJo Knight (#23) and one touchdown run by Gibson Anaya (#25).
The Spirit Squads from both schools performed at halftime, and even the school mascots got into the spirit of the game, helping to cheer with the crowds.
The Battle of the Valley Game is a fundraiser for both middle schools. Each school benefits from the event through ticket, snack bar, and raffle sales.
