Our Athletes of the Week are the Canyon Middle School Girls Softball team. The Condors capped off their undefeated season (9-0-1) by winning the 2024 Southern Alameda County Middle Athletic League (SACMAL) Championship over Bohannon Middle School by a score of 11-2. Head Coach Matt Christiansen, Assistant Coach Jason Popper, and Canyon Athletic Director Craig Nieves say they are proud the team scored a total of 132 runs all season and only allowed 8 runs by competitors.
