CVHS Varsity Soccer

Our Athletes of the Week are the Castro Valley High School Boys Varsity Soccer team. The Trojans won their first two league games of the season and tied Alameda High School last Friday 2-2, with all scores coming in the second half. Alameda scored first with a corner kick past Castro Valley's keeper. But the Trojans quickly replied with a trick shot inches away from the Alameda net. Alameda regained the lead with a 20-foot shot on goal. Castro Valley tied it up with a header in the closing minutes of regular time. The Varsity Boys' next match is this Friday at Encinal High School.
