RCHS Boys Varsity Soccer Team

Our Athletes of the Week are the Redwood Christian High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team. While you might think this is for winning games, the team was nominated by the Castro Valley Soccer Club for their work with its TOPS program. CVSC's program for special needs players.

"The uncertainties of the pandemic resulted in a smaller number of players signing up in our older group, which initially prevented the ability to properly scrimmage," said CVSC President Teresa Talbot. "The RCS Varsity Boys Soccer team stepped up and enthusiastically volunteered to join our program throughout the season to help our older players enjoy vigorous, demanding, and exhaustive scrimmages. Their commitment to sharing their time and being wonderful ambassadors for the game of soccer helped make this a special season."
