100th Day of School at Palomares Elementary

Palomares Elementary School in Castro Valley Unified School District found a creative and humorous way to celebrate their 100th day of the school year. Students were invited to step into the shoes of the elderly by dressing up as if they were 100 years old. This imaginative approach transformed the school into a vibrant community of spirited ‘centenarians.’ Jessicalyn and Brick Short were among the students who embraced this theme with enthusiasm, showcasing their flair for costume design. They, along with their peers, were applauded by their principal, Dr. Jennifer Tomita, who appreciated the creativity and humor in their outfits. This unique celebration served as a fun and engaging educational experience, allowing students to explore and appreciate the concept of aging in a lighthearted way. It was a day filled with laughter and learning, marking a memorable milestone in the school calendar at Palomares Elementary.
