Battle of The Valley 2022

Canyon and Creekside Flag Football players are our Athletes of the Week. The two middle schools met at Trojan Stadium last Friday for their annual and legendary Battleof The Valley Game. Canyon defeated Creekside in a very well-played defensive battle, with a final score of 6-8. Creekside scored first on a long play in which Miguel Maliksi scored a touchdown. The extra point attempt was then intercepted and run back the length of the field giving Canyon 2-points and making the score 6-2. The score of the back-and-forth game remained at 6-2 until the last few minutes of the game when a Creekside pass was intercepted and run back for a score making the score 6-8. The extra point attempt failed, and the final score remained at 6-8. The Battle of The Valley Game is a fundraiser for both middle schools, with each school benefitting from the event through ticket, snack bar, and raffle sales.
