Sean Cooper, new Coordinator of Theater Operations, managing the the CFA, the Adobe Arts Center and the CVHS Swim Center.

"Welcome back. Our doors are open at the Castro Valley Center for the Arts (CFA) and we are looking forward to hosting audiences again," enthused Sean Cooper, new Coordinator of Theater Operations, managing the the CFA, the Adobe Arts Center and the CVHS Swim Center.

Cooper has been in his new full time position since August. During his short stint, Cooper and his Technical Director, Pat Brandon have installed state-of-the-art LED stage lighting and backstage monitors. New carpeting, painting and wood refinishing projects are ongoing. Also, he hopes to install a live streaming system which will bring programs to all the community.

Cooper is quick to add that none of this would be possible without the support of Superintendent Parvin Ahmandi and Assistant
Superintendent Suzy Chan and the entire CVUSD staff. Castro Valley Arts Foundation has also been an important donor to these projects. "After 16 years of almost daily use, it is time to give our beautiful theater a face lift!" said Cooper.

Upcoming shows include Castro Valley High School's CLUE, November 5,6,12,13, a hilarious farce meets murder mystery. Castro Valley Arts Foundation opens the 2021-2022 Season, November 20. with MAYBE THIS TIME, a cabaret with Johnny Orenberg and guest artists Matthew Liebowitz and Katie Orenberg.

For tickets, please visit: www.cvartsfoundation.org or visit CFA Facebook Group. The CVHS Music Department follows with concerts December 1-4. Cooper adds, "We are always looking for new volunteers to usher and work in the Box Office for these events. This is a great way to make new friends, see a show while giving back to your community."
