Vandalism and Battery

Sunday, April 30: at 12:51 p.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 26-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of damaging private property and battery. The man was spotted near the intersection of Castro Valley Boulevard and Center Street in an altercation with another person. Deputies took the man into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Possessing a Stolen Vehicle in BART Parking Lot

Friday, April 28: at 12:45 p.m., a 38-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, methamphetamine drugs, and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies stopped the man in the Castro Valley BART parking lot on Norbridge Avenue after a check of the registration found the vehicle being reported stolen. The man was taken into custody.

 

Two Arrested for Drugs

Saturday, April 29: at 2:27 a.m., deputies arrested two people from Castro Valley on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine drugs and related drug paraphernalia. A 43-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were traveling on Castro Valley Boulevard near Lake Chabot Road when deputies stopped them for questioning and discovered their stash. The couple were taken into custody.

 

Wanted Man Gave a False ID

Thursday, April 27: at 8:27 p.m., a 31-year-old man from Castro Valey was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man had been previously convicted of assault and battery. Deputies caught up with the man on Marshall Street near Greenacre Road, but the man provided them with a false ID. The man was additionally charged with possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies took the man into custody.

 

Car Reported Stolen

Friday, April 28: at 3:18 a.m., deputies arrested a 39-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of possessing a vehicle reported stolen. The man was parked outside a motel on Castro Valley Boulevard near Stanton Avenue when deputies arrived and ran the car's plates. The man was taken into custody.

 

Assault and Battery

Monday, April 24: at 12:45 p.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to a home on Brookdale Boulevard near Mayflower Drive. There, they arrested a 26-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of assault and battery on a family member. Deputies handcuffed the woman and took her into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Warrant Served on the Boulevard

Tuesday, April 25: at 8:59 a.m., deputies arrested and served a warrant issued for a 24-year-old woman from Castro Valley. The woman was traveling on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road when deputies made a positive ID on the warrant. The woman had been previously convicted of breaking and entering, grand theft, and possessing illegal narcotics and methamphetamine drugs. Deputies took the woman to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Traffic Stop Ends in Two Arrests

Tuesday, April 25: at 1:40 a.m., two men with no permanent residence were arrested in the parking lot of a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. Deputies pulled the men over after a check of the vehicle's plates revealed that the driver had an outstanding warrant. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was previously charged with possessing a stolen vehicle, driving while under the influence of drugs, driving without a valid license, providing a false ID to officials, and a felony hit-and-run. The passenger, a 40-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of possessing illegal narcotics and methamphetamine drugs. The pair were taken to Santa Rita Jail.
