Breaking and Entering

Friday, February 16: 4:20 a.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 28-year-old man with no permanent address on suspicion of breaking into and entering private property at the intersection of Park Way and San Carlos Avenue. The man was spotted trying to pry open a window when deputies arrived. The man was taken into custody.

 

Wanted Woman Caused Stir at Business

Wednesday, February 14: at 11:30 a.m., a 33-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for her capture. The woman had previously been convicted of disrupting a business. Deputies served the warrant outside a medical office on Lake Chabot Road near Congress Way. The woman was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Assault at Eden Hospital

Tuesday, February 13: at 10:53 p.m., deputies arrested a 29-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of assault on a family member, false imprisonment, and assault with intent to cause bodily harm. The man was at Eden Medical Center on Lake Chabot Road when he confronted another person and became physical. Deputies were called after hospital security reported the altercation. The man was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Shoplifter Caught in the Village

Monday, February 12: at 12:20 p.m., a 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a retail store in the Castro Village Shopping Center on Village Drive. Deputies were called to the scene after the woman was spotted leaving with a large amount of unpaid merchandise. The woman was taken into custody.

 

Family Fight

Monday, February 11: at 2:08 p.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to a home on Reamer Road near Walnut Road. There, they arrested a 46-year-old woman on suspicion of assault on a family member. Deputies took the woman into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Driving a Stolen Vehicle

Friday, February 9: at 11:57 p.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle. The man was traveling on Norbridge Avenue when deputies stopped him on Francis Street after running his license plate. Deputies took the man into custody.
