Sheriff’s Report: February 5 - 12

Spousal Assault

Thursday, February 8: at 11:00 p.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 29-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of spousal assault. The man was at an apartment on Wilbeam Avenue near Castro Valley Boulevard when deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Violated the Terms of His Bail

Friday, February 2: at 12:30 a.m., a 57-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of violating the terms of his bail. Deputies stopped the man for questioning outside a church on Grove Way near Redwood Road and verified his bail status. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Public Intoxication

Friday, February 2: at 9:06 p.m., deputies arrested a 39-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of public intoxication. The woman was sitting outside a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard when deputies responded to a call about a suspicious person in the parking lot. The woman failed her field sobriety test and was taken to a sobering center.

 

Street Fighting Man

Friday, February 2: at 10:35 p.m., a 911 call about a fight in the street sent deputies to a business on Castro Valley Boulevard near Park Way. There, they arrested a 23-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of assaulting another person and making death threats. Deputies handcuffed the man and took him into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Disrupting a Business

Saturday, February 3: at 9:56 p.m., deputies arrested a 37-year-old woman with no permanent residence on suspicion of disrupting a business on Heyer Avenue near Center Street. The woman was found to be harassing other customers, prompting a call by the manager. Deputies took the woman into custody.
