Wanted for Grand Theft
Sunday, July 21: At 9:30 a.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 40-year-old woman from Castro Valley as part of a warrant issued for her capture. The woman was previously convicted of grand theft. Deputies served the warrant at a home on Dolores Street near Vestal Avenue. The woman surrendered without incident and was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
Caught with Stolen Property, Burglar Tools
Thursday, July 18: At 9:08 p.m., two men with no permanent residence were arrested on charges related to possessing stolen property, illegal narcotics, and burglar tools. Deputies caught up with the men outside a public storage facility on Grove Way near Redwood Road. The men attempted to gain access when deputies stopped them and discovered their stash. A 44-year-old man and a 43-year-old man were taken into custody.
Busted for Drug Possession and Warrants
Monday, July 15: At 9:28 a.m., deputies arrested two men with no permanent residence outside a drug store on Castro Valley Boulevard near Yeandle Avenue. Both men were identified as having warrants issued for their arrest. Both men were charged with possessing methamphetamine drugs and illegal drug paraphernalia at the scene. The 69-year-old man had been previously convicted as a sex offender and failed to register with authorities. The 51-year-old man had been previously convicted of selling illegal narcotics. Both men were taken to Santa Rita Jail.
