Wanted for Drug Possession
Friday, July 26: At 12:40 p.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 41-year-old man from Castro Valley as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man had previously been convicted of possessing methamphetamine drugs and related illegal drug paraphernalia. Deputies served the warrant outside a gas station on Castro Valley Boulevard and Anita Avenue. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
Drove Drunk with an Invalid License
Saturday, July 27: At 3:21 a.m., a 28-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with an invalid license. Deputies pulled the man over in front of a business on Castro Valley Boulevard near Wilbeam Avenue. The man failed his field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
Intoxicated Driver Violated His Parole
Tuesday, July 23: At 9:43 p.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 40-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and having a blood alcohol content over the legal limit, driving without a revoked driver's license and violating the terms of his parole. Deputies pulled the man over in front of a fast-food restaurant on Strobridge Avenue near Castro Valley Boulevard. The man failed his field sobriety test and was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
Public Intoxication
Monday, July 22: At 11:42 p.m., a 24-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Deputies stopped the man for questioning outside a business on Castro Valley Boulevard near Yeandle Avenue. The man failed his field sobriety test and was taken to a sobering center.
Drug Runner Goes Back to Jail
Tuesday, July 23: At 2:13 a.m., deputies arrested a 32-year-old man with no permanent residence as part of a warrant for his capture. The man had previously been convicted of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia and loitering with the intent of being a "lookout" for illegal drug activity. Deputies caught up with the man and served the warrant in front of a fast-food place on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. The man was handcuffed and taken to Santa Rita Jail.
