Assault and Battery
Saturday, July 9: at 2:05 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 76-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of assault and battery. The man was at a home on Langon Place near Todd Court when deputies arrived following a call about an altercation at the scene. The man was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
Wanted Man at the Park
Friday, July 8: at 6:40 p.m., a 59-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his capture. Deputies caught up with the man in the parking lot of Carlos Bee Park on Grove Way. The man was previously charged with petty theft. Deputies report the man also had illegal drug paraphernalia in his possession. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
Two Warrants Served
Friday, July 8: at 4:07 p.m., deputies arrested two people from Castro Valley as part of warrants issued for their capture. A 56-year-old man was at a home on Charlene Way near Redwood Road when deputies arrived and served the warrant. The man was previously charged with driving under the influence and over the limit of alcohol as well as driving with an invalid license. A 41-year-old man was detained about a block down the street and served his warrant. The man had been previously charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and over the legal limit, and driving with an invalid license. Deputies took the men to Santa Rita Jail.
Failed to Register with Authorities
Friday, July 8: at 10:10 a.m., a 60-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of failing to register his whereabouts with law enforcement. The man was required to check in with the Sheriff’s department as required by the courts. Deputies caught up with the man at Eden Medical Center on Lake Chabot Road. The man was taken into custody.
Two Busted for Drugs
Thursday, July 7: at 9:30 a.m., deputies arrested two people from Castro Valley on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. The couple was hanging outside a home on Carnation Lane near Somerset Avenue when deputies stopped them for questioning and discovered their stash. A 52-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were taken into custody.
Drove with an Invalid License
Thursday, July 7: at 8:43 a.m., a 23-year-old man was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man had previously been charged with driving with an invalid license. Deputies caught up with the man in the parking lot of Carlos Bee Park on Grove Way where they served the warrant. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
Illegal Narcotics
Wednesday, July 6: at 11:47 a.m., deputies arrested a 41-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. The man was hanging outside a liquor store on Redwood Road near Grove Way when deputies stopped him for questioning and discovered his stash. The man was taken into custody.
