All Trick, No Treat

Monday, October 31: at 2:44 a.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 38-year-old woman with no permanent residence on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. The woman was hanging outside a motel on Castro Valley Boulevard near Stanton Avenue when deputies stopped her for questioning and discovered her stash. Deputies took the woman into custody.

 

Spousal Assault

Sunday, October 30: at 9:16 p.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to a home on Columbia Drive near Medallion Court. There, they arrested a 52-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of spousal assault. The man was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Public Intoxication

Friday, October 28: at 3:12 p.m., deputies arrested a 31-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of public intoxication. The man was hanging outside a gas station on Castro Valley Boulevard near Anita Avenue when deputies checked on him and smelled alcohol. The man failed his field sobriety test and was taken to a sobering center.

 

Assailant Wanted for Drug Possession

Thursday, October 27: at 6:02 p.m., a 28-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of assault of a family member. Deputies were dispatched to a home on Center Street near Sargent Avenue following a domestic disturbance report. The man was also found to have a warrant issued for his arrest related to methamphetamine drugs and paraphernalia possession charges. Deputies took the man to Santa Rita Jail. The victim was treated at the scene.

 

Busted for Methamphetamine Drugs

Thursday, October 27: at 1:13 p.m., deputies arrested a 34-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine drugs and related drug paraphernalia. The man was hanging around a business near the intersection of Redwood Road and Grove Way when deputies stopped him for questioning and discovered his stash. The man was taken into custody.

 

Disrupting a Business

Tuesday, October 25: at 4:41 p.m., a 47-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of interfering with a business and refusing to leave despite the manager's request. Deputies were dispatched to a business on Grove Way near Redwood Road following a call from the manager. The man was taken into custody.

 

Joy Ride Ends in Arrest

Tuesday, October 25: at 12:31 p.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 68-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle. The man was traveling on Crow Canyon Road near Norris Canyon Road when deputies identified the plates as reported stolen. The man was taken into custody.

 

She Fought the Law

Monday, October 24: at 11:02 p.m., a 23-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest. Deputies stopped the woman for questioning outside a business on Castro Valley Boulevard near Wisteria Street, but she became confrontational and refused to cooperate. The woman was taken into custody.
