Sheriff's Report: October 4 - 11

Disruption at Eden Hospital

Monday, October 11: at 2:49 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 46-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of interfering with the operations at Eden Medical Center on Lake Chabot Road. The woman was visiting the campus when security asked her to leave a restricted area. Deputies were called in when the woman refused to leave. The woman was taken into custody.

 

Illegal Drug Pipe

Saturday, October 9: at 11:53 a.m., a 40-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia. Deputies stopped the woman for questioning outside a home on Woodbine Avenue near Santa Maria Avenue when they discovered her stash. The woman was taken into custody.

 

Vandalism Suspect

Friday, October 8: at 11:09 p.m., deputies arrested a 22-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of vandalism. The man was spotted outside a church on Grove Way near Redwood Road destroying private property. Deputies handcuffed the man and took him into custody.

 

Two Caught with Burglar Tools 

Saturday, October 9: at 5:39 a.m., two men from Castro Valley were arrested on suspicion of possession of burglar tools, illegal narcotics, and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies were called to a business on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard following a report of two suspicious people snooping around the back of the building. The 38-year-old and 35-year-old  men fitting the description were taken into custody.

 

Busted for Methamphetamine

Friday, October 8: at 10:46 p.m., deputies arrested a 57-year-old woman with no permanent residence on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine drugs and related drug paraphernalia. The woman was sitting outside a business on Redwood Road near Grove Way when deputies stopped her for questioning and discovered her stash. The woman was taken into custody.

 

Wanted Woman

Thursday, October 7: at 11:48 a.m., a 29-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for her capture. Deputies served the warrant outside a business on Castro Valley Boulevard near Santa Maria Avenue. The woman had been previously convicted of grand theft and possession of stolen property. Deputies took the woman to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Two Charged with Home Break-In

Thursday, October 7: at 3:26 a.m., deputies arrested two men with no permanent residence on suspicion of breaking and entering a home on Grove Way near Center Street. The men—ages 49 and 47—were spotted trying to enter the house when deputies were called to the scene. Deputies also found the men in possession of illegal drug paraphernalia. The men were taken into custody.

 

Tried Breaking into a Church

Wednesday, October 6: at 8:34 p.m., a 32-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of attempted breaking and entering into a church building on Redwood Road near Heyer Avenue. Deputies were called to the scene following a silent alarm. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.

Sheriff's Report: September 27 – October 4
