Wanted Man Caught with Meth

Monday, October 16: at 1:25 a.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 50-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man had been previously convicted of possessing methamphetamine drugs and being under the influence of illegal drugs. Deputies served the warrant at a home on Briar Ridge Drive near Cull Canyon Road. While there, deputies found the man had more drugs in his pockets. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Car Thief Sent Back to Jail

Sunday, October 15: at 3:41 p.m., a 40-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his capture. Deputies served the warrant in the parking lot of the 580 Market Place on East Castro Valley Boulevard. The man had previously been convicted of breaking into and damaging a car, driving a stolen vehicle, and possessing a stolen vehicle. Deputies took the man to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Public Intoxication

Saturday, October 14: at 7:45 a.m., deputies arrested a 29-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of public intoxication. The man was found hanging out in the parking lot of a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. Deputies reported the man failed his field sobriety test and was taken to a sobering center.

 

Unlucky Woman Caught with Stolen Property

Friday, October 13: at 2:55 p.m., a 40-year-old woman with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property, methamphetamine drugs, and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies stopped the woman for questioning outside a business on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard, where they discovered her stash. The woman was taken into custody.

 

Robbery Suspect Arrested

Thursday, October 12: at 3:45 p.m., deputies arrested a 19-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of robbery from an undisclosed location. The man was eventually arrested outside a home on James Avenue near Lemas Place following a police search. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.

 

Shoplifter Caught

Wednesday, October 11: at 7:24 a.m., a 24-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting from a grocery store on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road. Deputies were called to the scene after store security detained the man for leaving without paying for merchandise. The man was taken into custody.

 

Drove Drunk with a Suspended License

Wednesday, October 11: at 1:20 a.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 32-year-old woman with no permanent residence on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, and violating a restraining order requiring her to be at least 100 yards away from a business. The woman was driving near a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard when deputies noticed her weaving and pulled her into the parking lot. The woman failed her field sobriety test and was taken into custody.

 

Refused to Leave Business

Tuesday, October 10: at 3:21 a.m., a 26-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man had previously been convicted of refusing to leave a business property despite being asked to leave by the manager. Deputies stopped the man for questioning at a gas station on Castro Valley Boulevard near Strobridge Avenue. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
