Go on a journey through 2,000 years of women’s contributions to astronomy and space exploration on Sunday, October 22 at 2 pm at the Library.
Local author Dale DeBakcsy will lecture about the first female astronomers in the Babylonian empire all the way up to the women who are working in space and directing planetary surveys today.
Dale is the author of A History of Women in Astronomy and Space Exploration and A History of Women in Medicine and Medical Research. He has been the lead writer for The Women in Science Archive since 2013.
