A Castro Valley History Talk with Author Rick Kelly

Local author Rick Kelly will discuss his new book Rancho to Ranch Homes: Mapping the Evolution of Castro Valley, California at the Library on Sunday, July 30 from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Over four years in the making, Kelly’s book details the evolution of Castro Valley from a Native American territory to a modern commuter suburb. Rancho to Ranch Homesincludes hundreds of photographs and maps, many of which have not been previously published.
Kelly will discuss the book’s genesis and share some remarkable findings uncovered during his research. A question and answer period will follow, and two signed copies of Rick’s book will be given away in a special drawing. Join us for a chance to win!
