Virtual Youth Job Fair

The East Bay Regional Park District is a major employer of students in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, staffing approximately 300 seasonal positions annually. There are many employment options available for the 2025 summer season at East Bay Regional Parks.

 

Virtual Youth Job Fair: Saturday, Mar. 1

The East Bay Regional Park District has a wide variety of opportunities for youth, young adults, and students. The Virtual Youth Job Fair is designed for applicants ages 15–24, although the minimum age requirement for most jobs is 16 years old. Resume and interview tips provided. Pre-registration highly recommended.

Youth and Seasonal Jobs

The East Bay Regional Park District is now accepting applications for summer and seasonal jobs. Spend summer in the great outdoors, build leadership skills in a team environment, and create lasting memories while gaining valuable work experience in the East Bay community.

International Day of Peace at Lake Chabot Regional Park

Celebrate UN International Day of Peace with the East Bay Regional Park District at a community event at Lake Chabot on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, from 5-8 p.m. Come join the Park District and partners for an evening of activities, music, and community centered on wellness! Be inspired by messages of peace from the community.

The Park District’s Annual Day of Peace event at Lake Chabot celebrates the rich diversity of park visitors and promotes unity. The event began after a group of Muslim men were harassed while praying and socializing there in 2015. It serves as a powerful reminder that all are welcome in East Bay Regional Parks.

The Day of Peace event stands as a beacon of hope and resilience, reaffirming the Park District’s unwavering commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. It sends a clear message that the Park District is committed to ensuring that Regional parks are a safe and welcoming space for all to enjoy.

Celebrating Green Friday

Celebrating Green Friday

Join East Bay Regional Park District on Friday, November 24, for a Free Park Day in the Regional Parks. Green Friday at the Park District provides healthy and fun ways to enjoy the day after Thanksgiving with family and friends.

On Green Friday, all entrance activity fees are waived in Regional Parks, including parking, dogs, horses, boat launching, and fishing, as well as entrance to Ardenwood Historic Farm. However, the fee waiver does not include state fees for fishing licenses and watercraft inspections or concessions such as the Tilden Merry-Go-Round and Redwood Valley Railway steam train.

National Night Out 2023 at Lake Chabot

Join us for an exciting evening of community bonding and fun at Lake Chabot! The East Bay Regional Park District is hosting National Night Out, where parkgoers are invited to come together to celebrate and strengthen our community ties.

Date: Tuesday, August 1, 2023

Time: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (Pacific Daylight Time)

Location: Lake Chabot Regional Park, 17600 Lake Chabot Road, Castro Valley, CA 94546

Parking/Transportation: The nearest parking is at the Lake Chabot Marina entrance. Parking fees will be waived for the event starting at 3 p.m. Carpooling, biking, and walking to the park are encouraged.

Bring your family, friends, and neighbors for a fun night out in the park. We have a wide range of activities planned for all ages, including:

  • Talk with First Responders

  • Meet the Police Horses

  • See Fire Trucks

  • Photo Booth

  • Hot Dogs & Refreshments

  • Visit the Peace Pole

  • Kid Activities

  • Live DJ

  • Free Parking

Take this opportunity to meet the Park District's public safety officers, firefighters, lifeguards, and park rangers who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. Come see all the neat artifacts that naturalists from the Park District's Mobile Visitor Center will have on hand. Enjoy the serene beauty of Lake Chabot, and explore the stunning trails.

The Lake Chabot Marina Café will be open extended hours for dinner, snacks, ice cream, and more.

Don't miss out on this fantastic event that promotes unity, safety, and a sense of belonging. Come and be a part of the National Night Out celebration at Lake Chabot! Together, we are making communities safer, more caring places to live.

All are welcome to this FREE event. Registration is encouraged but not required to attend.
