Concert in the Park Benefits FESCO
Plan on spending a fun Sunday afternoon from 1 – 5 pm listening to live music at Memorial Park, Hayward. It’s a great way to support FESCO, the Family Shelter; light snacks will be available for purchase plus a live raffle. If you’re a band fan, you’ll love the Giant Garage Spiders! Free admission, free parking – Memorial Park behind the Hayward Plunge, 24176 Mission Blvd. For family-friendly fun, this is it!
27th Annual FESCO Shuffle
FESCO Family Shelter invites you to come out to Moreau Catholic High School, 27170 Mission Blvd., Hayward, on Saturday to help raise funds for their program supporting unhoused families with children. It’s a free, fun, family-oriented day which includes a Band, a Kid Zone, Lunch, and Raffle and Prize Giveaways. The Walkathon takes place on Moreau’s track, with registration opening at 9:00 am and the walk starting at 10:30. Taiko Drummers and a Band entertain the crowd. Free parking is available behind the school. The Shuffle benefits FESCO, the Family Emergency Shelter Coalition, a Hayward non-profit providing shelter and resources for unhoused families since 1988. Free Concert in the Park Benefits FESCO
Bring your lawn chair or blanket to Memorial Park, Hayward, for a free afternoon of great music featuring the popular Giant Garage Spiders Band. This Concert from 1 to 5 pm benefits FESCO, the Family Shelter in Hayward. FESCO will offer food for sale, raffle prizes and great music for listening and even dancing. All proceeds go toward FESCO’s program which assists homeless families with children to return to self-sufficiency. The Concerts in the Park, sponsored by HARD and the Hayward Odd Fellows are held at Memorial Park, next to the Hayward Plunge, 24176 Mission Blvd., Hayward, through August and September.
26th Annual FESCO Shuffle & 5K
Walk to End Family Homelessness
Please join FESCO (Family Emergency Shelter Coalition) for the 26th Annual FESCO Shuffle & 5K
Saturday, May 6, 2023 - 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Moreau Catholic High School -27170 Mission Blvd, Hayward 94544
This is a family-friendly event with morning refreshments, lunch, entertainment and a drawing for door prizes. If you have never participated in the Shuffle, this is the year to do so, and bring your children. The “Kidz Zone” will be expanded with bouncy houses, great games, and more prizes. There is no fee to attend, and partake in the fun!
5K: This year we will be adding a 5K timed run that will cost $50.00 to run in. It will start at 7:00 AM. Runners are invited to stay for the Shuffle festivities. If you are attending, you can sponsor yourself or get your friends and families to sponsor you. If you are unable to attend, please consider sponsoring a walker or making a direct financial contribution to FESCO. Your donations impact hundreds of homeless children and their parents each year.

Concert in the Park Benefits FESCO
Lovers of live band music will enjoy the Sunday concert at Memorial Park when they can hear the Giant Garage Spiders Band and the Sycamore 129 Blues Band play to benefit FESCO, the Family Shelter in Hayward. The free concert from 1 to 5 pm behind the Hayward Plunge is sponsored by HARD and the Hayward Odd Fellows Sycamore Lodge 129. Subaru of Hayward is sponsoring the refreshments, so all food purchases and donations will support the homeless family clients FESCO serves.
FESCO (Family Emergency Shelter Coalition) in Hayward has been assisting homeless families with children for more than 35 years, through their shelters, case management and targeted resources.
Lawn chairs or blankets are suggested for lawn seating. Alcohol is not allowed in the park, but water and soft drinks will be available. Free parking.
FESCO Shuffle Walkathon
FESCO Family Shelter will hold its 25th Annual FESCO Shuffle (Walkathon), Saturday, June 11th, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Moreau Catholic High School, 27170 Mission Blvd., Hayward. The Shuffle will take place at Moreau’s track, with lunch at tables by the track. Parking available behind the school. The morning includes registration at 8, opening ceremonies, the Walk at 10, lunch at 11 with a raffle and prizes, and a closing ceremony at noon. There will be a Kid Zone during the Walk, and Taiko Drummers and a band will entertain the crowd. The Shuffle benefits FESCO, the Family Emergency Shelter Coalition in Hayward, a non-profit which has worked with homeless families with children for 35 years.
