Celebrate Juneteenth

The city is hosting two celebrations with black vendors, entertainment, and the history of Juneteenth displayed throughout the events. Tomorrow (June 15) is a street party on B and Main Street starting at 5:30 pm. There will be live music, a beer and wine garden, a classic car show, and fun for kids. Then on Saturday, June 17, Hayward is sponsoring its annual Russell City Juneteenth Celebration. The event starts at 11 am and runs till 5 pm behind Hayward City Hall on B Street. Check out Jazz, Blues, R&B, and Gospel music in honor of Hayward’s Russell City music heritage. More details at: www.juneteenthhayward.com/
