Dave Rocha at Cannery Kitchen and Tap
Jazz trumpet player Dave Rocha will be appearing with his trio at the Cannery Kitchen and Tap at the Castro Valley Marketplace, located at 3295 Castro Valley Blvd., in Castro Valley. They will be performing outside the building where the chairs and umbrellas are, from 3 pm to 6 pm. There’s no admission or cover charge. Rocha plays throughout the greater Bay Area, and previously has performed in New York City, Los Angeles and Seattle with jazz greats Lionel Hampton, Larry Elgart, Machito, and Tex Beneke (Glen Miller Ghost Band). His trio will be playing an eclectic mix of jazz tunes, ranging from "straight-ahead" jazz to jazz rock, bossa to blues, and everything in between. In addition to being a trumpet virtuoso, Rocha is equally at home on the flugelhorn, the "first-cousin" to the trumpet.

Good Guys Band at Cannery Kitchen & Tap
The Good Guys Band consists of Gary Bauman on guitar and vocals (of Todos Santos the Band and various others) and Ron Pfisterer on bass and vocals. Ron has lived in Castro Valley his entire life and first played bass at the Battle of the Bands at Castro Valley High School in the 70's. He was recruited to join the national square dance band, The Ghostriders, in 1994, and has been with them all along. They are famous in the US and Japan for backing up square dance callers at local dances, national conventions and festivals from California to the East Coast and Tokyo! Ron and Gary play a solid collection of tunes you'll want to sing along with! They were named "The Good Guys" because, well, they're good guys! Meet them at The Cannery on July 6th from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Free music, tips are always appreciated.
