Interested in helping someone improve their literacy or English skills? Join us at our online Orientation to find out how to become a Learning Partner on March 16, 6:00pm or March 20, 10am. GO H.A.R.D.! Teen Cohort for Outdoor Education
Calling all teens (13-17 years)! Join the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (H.A.R.D.) for our new Outdoor Education and Excursion program: Get Outdoors and Go H.A.R.D.
Starting February 17, we’ll meet every Saturday from 10 AM – 4 PM at the Ashland Community Center until the end of the program on March 23. Together, we can explore local parks and learn about nature, environmental stewardship, and careers in Recreation.
You’ll get to meet new friends, build outdoor skills, and get to know your community as we participate in activities, such as Hayward Shoreline Hike and Clean-Up, Quarry Lakes Excursion; Coyote Hills Excursion; Fishing; rock climbing on our 28-foot rock wall, hiking; and a Sulphur Creek Guided Tour. Please note that these locations and activities are subject to change due to weather.

Admission Fee: $248 (includes excursions and transportation costs). Registration is required to participate.

Spring for Education!
Join the Castro Valley Educational Foundation (CVEF) for a night of fun and fundraising! The event is designed to bring the CV community together and raise funds for the Wellness Centers and other programs across Castro Valley schools. Purchase tickets for yourself and a guest, or for a staff member at your school of choice. Each ticket includes:
• An evening under the stars celebrating the CVUSD community (dressy casual attire recommended)
• Small plates and specialty food from local eateries
• 2 drink tickets (champagne, wine, beer, or non-alcoholic drinks)

CVUSD Job Fair
The Castro Valley Unified School District has openings for the 2022-2023 school year! Visit their job fair at Castro Valley High School (19400 Santa Maria Ave. Castro Valley) on Saturday, March 19 from 9 am to 12 pm to learn how you can become a member of the CVUSD. The District has openings for: Certificated Staff at all levels, Pre-K – 12, Paraprofessionals, Cafeteria Workers (Group testing for paraprofessionals and cafeteria workers available at 9:30 a.m), Clerical Staff, Custodial, and more.
