Funding for USAID Must Be Restored

The United States Agency for International Development, USAID, has been a cornerstone for US diplomacy, economic growth, and global leadership since President John F. Kennedy established it in 1961 during the Cold War.
Elon Musk and President Trump assert that USAID is corrupt and are defunding it. They are using a sledgehammer rather than a scalpel to reduce fraud.
With the abrupt closure of USAID, 140 million dollars worth of U.S. farmers’ crops rot in warehouses!
USAID accounts for less than 1% of our federal budget.
Soon, China and Russia will take the place of USAID and force our national security to crumble.
Funding for USAID must be restored.
