Let’s Get the Old Mailboxes Back!
What’s with the new mailboxes at the now-former “drive through” island at the Post Office? The mailboxes are located at the back of the island, so everyone has to get out of their vehicle to drop off mail, causing back-ups into the parking lot. The mailboxes no longer have slots into which you could just drop off your mail. Instead, you have to put each envelope into a mechanized slot like an ATM, and what happens if the power goes out or the mechanics of the slot-feeder malfunction (as all do at some point)? Why is a mailbox being over-engineered? Let's get the old mailboxes back!
