Remembering Cliff Burton

I’m a former Castro Valley resident and grew up there in the 70s and 80s. Castro Valley has an official Cliff Burton day on February 10. At a glance I don’t see anything about that in the Castro Valley forum. Cliff Burton with his royalties from Music has probably donated more to the citizens of Castro Valley than any other citizen in history. His royalties still will be helping with scholarships long into the future. At least you can mention something about February 10 before the event happens and at least a little blurb about the day. He was a bass player in a band, called Metallica, but died before fame, and Fortune came his way. The albums he’s on have sold millions and continue to sell millions. Thank you very much for listening. I was much younger than him but fortunately I got to jam with him at sessions around Castro Valley.

Musical genres shouldn’t affect any decision-making. If you’re at a higher level, such as myself music is music. And if you understand, Music Cliff Burton was coming from a classical point of view.
