Alex Williams

Our Athlete of the Week is Alex Williams. This Castro Valley native is a senior at Stanford and was recently voted Pitcher of the Year by the Pac-12 Conference. He was also named a semifinalist for the National Pitcher of the Year Award; an award given out by the College Baseball Foundation to the top pitcher in the country. William's right-handed pitching this season resulted in a 7-1 record (including three shutouts). He ended the year with a 1.75 ERA and a .947 Walks And Hits Per Inning Pitched (WHIP). Williams graduated from Redwood Christian in 2018 and played on Castro Valley Little League and Castro Valley Independent (CVI) teams.
