CV Soccer Club Girls 2012 Green Team
Our Athletes of the Week are the Castro Valley Soccer Club Girls 2012 Green Team, which recently won the San Ramon FC Fall Shootout on September 23 and 24. The Green Team won the final tournament game against AYSO United Davis 2012 to win the cup. The team finished the weekend tourney with a perfect 4-0 record.
Proud parent Danielle Bailey Thompson said the girls dug deep (with two players absent) to take the trophy home. “They held their positions, communicated, made smart passes and connections to the ball. They used teamwork in its finest form to finish strong despite the heat and exhaustion.”
This is their first season together under the coaching guidance of Coach Ryan Stiggants and Assistant Coach, Javier Alejos.
