Our Athletes of the Week are the CVHS Varsity Girls Volleyball Team. The Trojans finished up the first half of the league (WACC Foothill Division) and are the only undefeated team left with a league record of 8-0. The team beat Bishop O’Dowd on September 27 in a 3-0 set sweep for the first Varsity Girls Volleyball win over the Dragons since 2004. The Trojans overall record is 15-8, with some other notable wins over Berkeley, Dublin, and Carondelet. The team's senior night is Wednesday, October 18, at 7 PM against Bishop O’Dowd and the coaches would love to have everyone in the community come out to support them and our graduating players! They’re coached by two alumni of the school and volleyball program; Maggie Del Grande, who graduated in 2017, and part-time assistant, Meghan Sutcliffe, who played on the 1993 and 1994 NCS champs teams.
